the text on this are from a quote by emily dickenson about how feathers bring hope and so i just cut out a part of it to put on here with a feather i vector. which was a pain, might i add. then i added some lines, lens flares, and little half opaque circles to fill up the gradient background. yay.

alrighty, i'm just moving right along with this, which makes me SUPER happy. seven pieces completely finished and just 5 more to go! yayy! anyway, i decided to make this little poster for a concert i made up in my mind. i like making posters and logos and stuff with more of a purpose than just whatever. if that makes any sense at all.

alright. half way there. i have lots of photographs i need to edit, so i'm pretty confident that i'll be able to finish everything by the april 14th (is that right??) deadline. anyway, this piece is a little different, I decided to go for designing a logo. this is something i enjoy doing because everything is much better simple and i got to intern designing logos. this particular piece was inspired by this horrible flashing gif shown on the left. so basically i decided to revamp it. i like the whole tickled pink idea with feathers, super cute.... anyway i'm really happy with how this turned out

wooohoo. five pieces finished. now this one is based off one of my favorite bands, versamerge. the lead singer always wears feathers in her hair and i thought it was ballin' so that's actually how i got the whole idea for feathers. fixed at zero is the name of one of their albums. it is seriously one of my favorite albums of all time and their songs really relates to my life in tons of different ways.

yay! second piece finished! i'm sure i'll get on a roll of finishing these once i actually go buy feathers so i can do a couple more of my ideas. (: anyway, i tried to do something super simple. i did some research before choosing this concentration about what different colors of feathers mean. i found out white means a guardian angel is watching over you. so, for this i went with white to symbolize that through all the mayhem my family and our friends have gone through these past months an angel is still there to protect you.

alrighty, so my first piece is finished. yay! i took a break from vectoring the feather piece i posted before this and decided to do something with a dreamcatcher since they usually have feathers on them... so this is what i made. the text in the background are quotes about intuition since the native americans believe that the blue feather stands for intuition.

book jacket.

may i just take a moment to express how happy i am that i am on track right now? anyway, this is the book jacket that i made for mrs. kerr's favorite book the pillars of the earth. i just decided to go with something simple. the picture cover is of some windows from an old church, and from what i read about the book... that's what it's about and the rest of it is just text. i'm actually happy with how it turned out. especially considering how long i contemplated ideas...
